Celebrating Madras Day: So many reasons to love

Temple

Let’s wish Madras, that is Chennai, a safe and prosperous birthday that falls on August 22. It was on this day way back in 1639 that a strip of land, where Fort. St. George stands today, was bought over by the East India Company from the local Nayak rulers.

Over the years Chennai has grown by leaps and bounds and is the largest city in South India and the fourth largest in India. The bustling metropolis is celebrated for its education, healthcare, IT, history, tourism, auto industries, and movies, of course. Not for nothing it’s called the Detroit of India and is the biggest automobile hub in South Asia.

The heart of the industrial belt is Oragadam, home to different manufacturing units and IT companies. Some of the big names are Mosaer Bear, Siemens Network, TVS, Apollo Tyres, Toyota, Essar Steel, JCBL Ltd,  etc, and 2000 other manufacturing units. It has good connectivity channels to all places in Chennai and Kanchipuram. Significantly, 22 of the Fortune 500 companies including six global car manufacturers have a presence here. The Chennai Corporate Club is also nearby. There are 12 active banks here now that include Union Bank of India, Corporation Bank of India, and Federal Bank.

Well connected

The most appealing fact about Oragadam is its location. Strategically located between Grand Southern Trunk (GST) Road and National Highway 4, the town is extremely accessible and connected. The Tamil Nadu government’s Rs. 300 crore  Oragadam Industrial Corridor road will provide additional connectivity.

Hiranandani Parks

Another development that transformed the residential and commercial space in Oragadam is Hiranandani Parks. The township covers over 360 acres of residential, commercial, and retail space.

The residential portion consists of apartments and plots. Exquisitely designed for today’s modern family, the luxury 2.5 & 3 BHK apartments offer plenty of comforts. Tierra, the ready to build plots are complete with modern civic infrastructure and a wide range of amenities.

The hallmark of Hiranandani Parks is the fine range of premium sporting amenities like a trendy Golf course, facilities for Polo, Equestrian & more, that is not available in any other projects within the city.

Educational Institutes

There are many educational institutes in and around Oragadam. Among the most notable is the Thriveni Academy school. With a wide range of infrastructure facilities that includes more than 12 sporting facilities, it helps the students to tap their potential not only in academics but also in sports, music, and arts.

Sri Krishna Engineering College in Panapakkam, Dhaanish Ahamed College, Rassi College of Engineering at Vanchuvanchery, Apollo Priyadarshanam Polytechnic College, Monford CBSE School, are some of the other educational institutes famous for their respective studies.

Buzzing commercial zone

Oragadam along with Sriperumbudur has seen major investments from foreign and Indian companies in recent times. International Automobile majors like Daimler AG, Renault–Nissan, Komatsu have set up their car manufacturing plants here and will use it as a base for sourcing for their international markets, apart from supplying to meet the fast-growing Indian market. Last month, Apple started assembling its top model iPhone 11 at the Foxconn unit here and earlier Salcomp acquired the Nokia facility to produce components – mostly chargers for Apple.

Hiranandani Group’s data center company Yotta Infrastructure has signed an agreement with the government of Tamil Nadu to set up a 13-acre data center park at Hiranandani Parks. It will invest up to Rs 4,000 crore in this proposed project over the next 8-10 years.

Temples and religious places

Oragadam has its own religious history. In spite of the rapid industrial growth, the locality is blessed with numerous temples. Dhuraimurugar Shiva Marabu Sithaandha Dhiyana Sabai temple, Thiru Arutprakasa Vallalar Thiru Kovil, Sri Mahamehru Dhyana Nilayam of Sri Murugaphusam Swamigal SriNagaram, and pillars of fires of Jesus Prayer House are some of famous temples and churches.

Agatheeswarar temple, located inside the Hiranandani Parks is a popular temple. One of the main attractions of the temple is the Nakshatra Gardens, which has plants high on religious symbolism.

Just like Chennai, where there is always something for the people to love,  Hiranandani Parks has a fine range of features for every member of your family to cherish. Visit www.hiranandaniparks.com to find out more.
