Well, what is the connection ‘superstar’ Rajinikanth, ‘Thalapathi’ Vijay and the ever-popular Surya have with Oragadam? Hiranandani Parks, of course. The three most charismatic heroes of Kollywood have shot scenes for their blockbusters amidst the scenic beauty and majestic architecture of a sports township spread across 400 acres in the heart of Oragadam.

Vijay had turned up at Hiranandani Parks for hit movies like Bigil, Theri and Bairava, the former rated among the biggest blockbusters of Kollywood. Several scenes for Kabali featuring the one and only Rajini was filmed inside the sports township.

As a reviewer put it, Kabali is the first of his films in a long time that shows off the superstar as a proper actor. And it had a strong link to Hiranandani Parks. While Kabali certainly had all elements of a Rajini blockbuster, the film was grounded in realism. For once, Rajini was finally playing a man his own age  (65).

Hiranandani Parks had hosted the gorgeous Nayanthara during the filming of Imaika Nodigal (Unblinking Seconds) a psychological thriller about a serial killer being apprehended by an intelligent CBI officer. It received positive reviews with Nayan’s and Anurag Kashyap’s performance garnering critical acclaim.

Surya and team shot for the super hit Singam 3 along with Anushka Shetty and Shruti Hasaan. Surya who carries the entire film on his shoulders was in full form. This time, too, his mission ends leaving a hint that the Singam franchise is here to stay.

While Hiranandani Parks may not be designated an official film city, producers and directors find its 40 unique attractions, theme gardens, wide-open spaces, organic farms, classy high-rises, temple, hospital and more ideal for filming their big-budget ventures featuring megastars.

Director C. Premkumar shot several critical scenes here during the making of ’96, a romantic drama starring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha in lead roles. ’96 did exceptionally well at the box-office in Tamil Nadu as well as globally and won five awards, including Best Actor and Best Actress at the Filmfare Awards South.

The full list of films shot at Hiranandani Parks is indeed a long one. But we surely need to mention films that rocked the box-office like Thani Oruvan starring Jayam Ravi, Samuthirakani’s Aan Devathai, and Thupparivalan which had Vishal in the lead.

Dhanush is a class act and it was a rare honor for residents watching him on the sets of Pa Paandi at the township. Like most Dhanush films, this too captured hearts and the box-office.

Hiranandani Parks never fails to captivate! Families who come on weekends and site-visits find the township a perfect getaway and theme park that stimulates the mind just like Ramoji Film City. Residents, of course, get to experience a dream lifestyle in a vibrant community. Mingling with legends from the film world is an added bonus!
