Oragadam, one of Chennai’s favorite realty hotspots, received yet another boost with a major infrastructure project that will enhance its connectivity and popularity quotient. The proposed 133.38 km ChennaiPeripheral Ring Road’s Section 1 will connect Ennore Port with NH16at Thatchur. The new road will pass through Oragadam and connect Singaperumalkoil, Sriperumbudur, Tiruvallur, Tamaraipakkam, Periyapalayam, Puduvoyal, and Kattupalli.
Over the last few years, a slew of attractive infrastructure projects has increased the connectivity to and from Oragadam, making it one of the preferred destinations for homebuyers, MNCs, and Indian industrial giants.
Home to Chennai’s most developed industrial belt, Oragadam has 22 Fortune 500 companies and several top MNCs. The ever-increasing number of industries in the location has led to a spurt in residential real estate to meet the demands of the local and expat workforce.
All about the Chennai Peripheral Ring Road
The first phase of the Chennai Peripheral Road (CPR) will help improve connectivity from the southern districts including the Oragadam -Sriperumbudur belt to Ennore and Kattupuli. The project is financed by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The 26 km Phase-II will connect Thatchur on National Highway 16 to Thiruvallur Bypass and the 30 km Phase-III will connect Thiruvallur to Sriperumbudur on National Highway 48. They are proposed to be implemented with financial assistance from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). The 23.80 km phase-IV will connect Sriperumpudur with Singaperumal Koil and the four-lane 27.47 km Phase-V will link Singaperumal Koil with Poonjeri Junction.
The five-phase Peripheral Road will address the rapidly increasing road traffic demand in the Chennai Metropolitan Area including Oragadam, Sriperumbudur, and other areas. The project is expected to improve the connectivity in and around Chennai by formulating the radial-ring road network in collaboration with other ring roads such as Inner Ring Road, the Chennai Bypass, and Outer Ring Road to provide alternative routes for traffic as well as improve the road network. The first phase consists of a six-lane divided carriageway with at wo-lane service road on both sides.
The project will reduce the traveling time between Oragadam and the northern parts of Chennai. The significant reduction in time will help unhindered and quick container movement to and from the Ennore port.
Apart from providing 360-degree connectivity to Oragadam, the project will reduce the travel time for residents in this neighborhood to other parts of the Chennai Metropolitan Area. Just a few months back, the Supreme Court had okayed the Chennai-Salem Expressway that will connect Oragadam with Salem. These infra measures and similar projects have pushed up the demand for residential real estate in this region.
The 360-acre sports-themed integrated township is one of the grandest projects in Oragadam. With 70% open green space, more than 40 exciting amenities including exclusive facilities like Equestrian & a golf course, 12 themed gardens, and more options, Hiranandani Parks offers the best space for the modern family to lead a healthy and happy lifestyle. Apart from 2.5 & 3 BHK luxury apartments, the project also offers a wide range of premium plots, commercial and retail options.
